Oh, I'm detecting a rant coming on...
Seriously, folks. If you want to avoid the panic, the confusion, the massive and terrifying volume of conflicting information about flu shots and cold remedies and international terror alerts about the next flu pandemic, STAY OFF THE INTERNET! This goes beyond the internet and the CDC's website. Every time I tune into CBS News there's some new statistic about the flu. Either that or the number of people afflicted has rise by one and someone's declared a national emergency. Everywhere I turn there's a new report or a press release or a celebrity coming down with a cold and their publicist is tearfully *sniff* informing the world that it's swine flu.
I've had it up to HERE (you can't see me, but I'm holding my hand up) with swine flu! (Pardon me, H1N1, for the politically-correct)

Now, for Twilight... the less said about this - the better, for fear of announcing the crazy fangirls to my location, so I'll be brief. Edward, male and vampiric. Bella, human and disgustingly damselly. Check out BookStove's "95 Reasons to Hate Twilight" (Google it); I find it refreshing to know there are others out there who absolutely DESPISE such poorly written and simply HORRID literature. I mean, what's going on? Why the overwhelming trend to parasitically attach oneself to such a monomaniacal book in which vampiric-half-naked guys (Youtube> New Mood trailer) run around sinking their teeth and angst-filled hearts into young girls, only to find that a substantial amount of conveniently-placed and poorly-written plot devices prevent them from actually doing so?!?!
Now with the release of New Moon at Midnight, I find it comforting to know I will be safley tucked away, sleeping in my bead, away from the far-reaching influences of the fangirls. Bottomline:
Twilight = Proof someone writes worse fanfic than you. *facepalm*
UGH! God save society and specifically the youth! I swear, we need some Nazi-style-book-burning parades, specifically to eradicate the Twilight series! PLEASE people, find something worthwhile and literary-ly interesting to fill your moapy, angst-filled teen time! Oh, and ADULTS who have been indoctrinated by Stephenie Meyer's horrid works? ...You are beyond saving...
Now let the hatemail flow in with the voracity of a flooded river... *cringes*

Relaxing Borders Night anyone?
